Eligibility Quiz

Documents Required
While the Dutch authorities understand that refugees often flee without full documentation, providing the following increases the likelihood of a positive decision:
- Identity Documents: Valid passports, national ID cards, or birth certificates.
- Travel Documents: Plane tickets, boarding passes, or transit visas that show your route to the Netherlands.
- Evidence of Persecution: Documents from political parties, court summons, arrest warrants, newspaper articles mentioning you, or photos that substantiate your claim.

- Family Documents: Marriage certificates and birth certificates for children if you are applying for family reunification.
Note: Any documents not in Dutch, English, French, or German should ideally be translated by a sworn translator, though the IND may assist with verification during the procedure.
