Eligibility Quiz
Are you currently in the Netherlands or do you have a valid reason to enter (MVV)?
Documents Required
The IND requires high-quality evidence to substantiate humanitarian claims. All documents not in Dutch, English, French, or German must be translated by a sworn translator and typically require an Apostille or legalization.
- Identity Documents: A valid passport is generally required. Exception: For "No-Fault" applications, the lack of a passport is often the core issue; in these cases, you must provide alternative identity evidence.
- Evidence of Violence: Police reports, statements from Veilig Thuis (Safe at Home), or detailed medical and psychological reports.
- Medical Evidence: For Article 64 cases, a specific "Appendix Medical Advice" form must be completed by your treating physician for review by the Bureau of Medical Advice (BMA).
- Proof of "No-Fault" Efforts: Evidence of at least 3–4 failed attempts to obtain travel documents from your home country’s embassy, including correspondence and rejection letters.
- Proof of Ties: For Article 8 ECHR cases, documents proving financial or physical dependency, birth certificates of children, and evidence of long-term residence.
