Documents Required
You will need to gather the following paperwork for the application:
- Identity Documents: A valid passport or a UNHCR-issued travel document/identity certificate.
- Refugee Status Proof: An official UNHCR mandate letter confirming your refugee status.
- Sponsorship Form: A completed "Sponsorship Form for Community Organisation Refugee Sponsorship," which must be provided and signed by your approved sponsor.
- Health Records: Medical certificates and chest X-rays (typically requested after the initial nomination is reviewed).
- Character Evidence: Police certificates from any country where you have lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years. (Waivers may be available if it is impossible to obtain these from your home country due to conflict).
- Professional Evidence: Documents proving your work history or educational qualifications.
- Certified Translations: Any document not originally in English must be accompanied by a translation from a certified translator.
