Documents Required
You must provide comprehensive evidence to support your claims. All documents not in English must be accompanied by accredited English translations.
- Identity Documents: Passports or travel documents (if available), national identity cards, and birth certificates for all family members included in the application.
- Status Evidence: Your UNHCR registration documents or refugee status recognition from another international body.
- Written Statement: A detailed, signed statement (in your own words) explaining why you left your home country and the specific persecution or human rights abuses you fear if you return.
- Family Documentation: Marriage certificates, divorce decrees, or death certificates of spouses, and evidence of dependency for children over 18.
- Character Documents: Police clearances from any country where you have lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if it is safe to obtain them).
