Residence renewal
To renew, your qualifying income or pension must continue and be at least five minimum wages.
Request renewal within 60 days before expiry; a request in the 30 days after expiry carries a 50% surcharge.
After that, you can no longer request renewal.
Residence can end
Residence ends at expiry unless extended or you gain another status; otherwise you must leave Argentina.
Cancellation grounds include fraud, false papers, certain convictions, aiding illegal migration, extradition and major changes to your basis; other grounds also apply.
Absence for 6 months or more risks cancellation, with exceptions for Argentine public service, activities, study or research benefiting Argentina, or official permission.
