Things to think aboutThings to think about
Income and renewal
To extend your stay, you must still receive your pension and show you can support yourself, or regularly receive enough income from property or financial assets for basic needs.
Apply to extend your stay between 90 and 10 days before it expires.
Your status can end
Your permission ends if it expires without an extension or a change of category.
It is also lost if you do not download the electronic permit within 120 days or enter Chile within 90 days after downloading it.
Staying without valid permission can lead to a fine or removal and, in some cases, a ban on returning.
