Collect your residence permit
After approval, complete the office's passport or residence-card formalities and collect your permit. It lets you live in Egypt for the period granted.

Marriage certificate
Get your marriage certificate or official marriage contract. If a marriage document issued outside Egypt is being ratified in Egypt, the original is needed. The published spouse categories are for married couples; ask the office about your eligibility if you are not married.
Spouse's residence record
Provide proof of your spouse's residence status in Egypt. Check with the office that their type of residence qualifies and what evidence it accepts. If your consulate asks, also give your spouse's name, relationship to you, phone number and Egyptian address.

Residence renewal and fees
To keep your residence valid, apply for renewal within the required time and pay the residence and card fees.
Late fees may also apply.
Work permit required
You need a separate work permit to work in Egypt.
Residence can end
Your residence ends when it expires, and you must leave Egypt unless you have new permission to stay.
It can also be withdrawn in cases set by law, and you may be required to leave.
