If your permission expires, you must leave Egypt unless you have another valid status.
Overstaying can lead to fines.
Residence can be lost
Your permission ends if it expires without renewal; it can also be cancelled or renewal refused.
You can be ordered to leave Egypt and held temporarily while awaiting removal.
Even special residence can end in removal, after a committee review, for threats to security, the economy, public health, morals or peace, or being a burden on the state.
