Things to think aboutThings to think about
Income and insurance
You must keep private health insurance and enough income: €3,500 a month, plus 20% for a spouse or partner and 15% for each child.
For salaried work, income is counted after the required taxes in the country where you work.
Limits on work
You must keep working remotely for employers, clients or a business based outside Greece.
Neither you nor accompanying family members can take a job or carry out business or freelance activity in Greece.
Renewal and absences
You must apply to renew before your permit expires and provide the required evidence.
Absences from Greece of up to six months in a year do not prevent renewal if you meet the other rules.
Status can end
Your permit can end or renewal be refused if you no longer meet its conditions or apply too late.
It can also be taken away for fraud, false information, public order or security reasons, or other legal grounds, including removal or exclusion.
