Collect your permit
Collect your residence permit from the immigration office at the time and place given in your notice. You can then stay in Hungary under the terms of your permit.

Documents needed

Proof of funds
Provide an employer's or tax office's certificate showing regular income, a bank statement, or a combination of these. The evidence must show you have enough money to live in Hungary and leave when your stay ends.
Proof of health coverage
Provide a copy of your Hungarian health insurance card, or private health insurance covering all your health care together with evidence it has been paid for. You can instead provide bank evidence showing you have enough savings to cover health-care costs.
Copy of your passport
Provide a copy of your valid passport or other travel document. Have the original available for checking when requested.
Passport photograph
Provide a photograph of yourself. If you apply online, upload the photograph to your application.
Proof of accommodation
Provide a lease, a document showing someone is letting you stay, a certified copy of your ownership record, or a notarised statement from a family member offering you accommodation. You can instead provide a reservation with evidence it has been paid for, or a property sale contract together with permission from the Hungarian government office to buy the property.
Application form
Submit the residence permit application with its required annexes. If you apply online, use the form in Enter Hungary; for a paper application, use the current residence permit form.
Hungarian cultural certificate
Provide a Hungarian certificate, a membership certificate from a Hungarian organisation that looks after Hungarian culture, or both. Ask the relevant organisation for its certificate.
Departure statement
Provide a statement saying that you will leave Hungary voluntarily if your application is refused.
Parent's consent statement *
Provide your parents' or legal guardian's statement consenting to your lawful stay for its duration. It must be in Hungarian or English and made as a private or public agreement that provides full evidence.
