Considerations
Things to think aboutThings to think about
Keeping your pass valid
Keep your passport and pass valid, follow your pass conditions and Immigration directions, and keep your address and contact details current.
To stay longer, seek an extension before expiry; your passport and current pass must still be valid, and both spouses must attend.
Provide original documents for checking and cooperate with any review.
Immigration may visit your registered address or workplace, interview people and review documents when deciding on an extension.
Pass can end
Your pass ends if it expires without an extension, or if you leave Malaysia and it is not valid for your return.
Immigration may cancel or withdraw it for breaking its conditions, unlawful work or business, false or incomplete information, or immigration enforcement such as an overstay.
The end of your marriage or other changes affecting your approval can also put your pass at risk.
