Residence and registration duties
Register your address within eight days of moving in, or within eight days of receiving your permit if you already live there, and deregister when you leave.
Keep a valid travel document and follow the conditions of your stay.
To renew your permit, apply in Slovenia before it expires.
Residence status can end
Your permit can end when it expires, if a timely renewal is refused, if you no longer meet its conditions, or by an official decision to end or withdraw it.
You must leave when it expires unless you have a lawful extension, a new permit or another status.
If you become a Slovenian citizen, the foreign-national permit is no longer the relevant status.
