Live in Slovenia
You can live in Slovenia from the day the permit is delivered to you until it expires.
A first permit generally lasts as long as needed for its purpose, up to one year, though special circumstances and the government’s decision may affect its length.
You can rent or live in accommodation.
Study in Slovenia
You can study or train if you are admitted, the programme’s rules allow it, and it fits the reason for your residence.
Work in Slovenia
You can work if you have any separate work permission required for your job.
When lawfully employed, you have the same employment rights and duties as Slovenian workers.
Visit Schengen countries
With your permit and a valid passport, you can travel in Schengen for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
You can also leave and return to Slovenia while your permit and travel document are valid.
