Things to think aboutThings to think about
Keeping your permission
Keep your qualifying work, passport, residence papers, health coverage and required funds in order, report changes when required, and renew before expiry.
If self-employed, register for Social Security; employees are normally registered by their employer unless an international agreement provides coverage.
Permission can end
Your permission can end if it expires without renewal or you no longer meet its conditions, including those for your work.
Fraudulent documents, failure to meet required Social Security duties, serious public-order or security reasons, or expulsion can also end it.
Your family's linked permission can end if yours ends or they no longer meet their own conditions.
