Live in Vietnam
ĐT1 and ĐT2 visas let you live temporarily in Vietnam for up to 5 years, ĐT3 for 3 years and ĐT4 for 1 year.
A temporary-residence card can last up to 10 years for ĐT1, 5 for ĐT2 and 3 for ĐT3; ĐT4 has no ordinary card entitlement.
During your lawful stay, the law protects your life, dignity, property and legitimate rights.
Invest in Vietnam
You can carry out the investment activity for which you were admitted, following the relevant business and licensing rules.
Working in another capacity may require a separate work permit or an exemption.
Travel to Vietnam
You can enter Vietnam for your investment and leave and re-enter while your visa or temporary-residence card is valid.
To leave, you need a valid passport or travel document and valid Vietnamese residence papers.
Your departure can be suspended, for example over court proceedings, an unpaid judgment or tax, an administrative penalty or national security.
Invite your grandparents
If you hold a temporary-residence card, you can sponsor your grandparents to visit you in Vietnam.
